DURATION - 5 YEARS (INCLUDING 1-YEAR INTERNSHIP)
Eligibility for BUMS Course
Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Science stream. The qualifying subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English. In addition, knowledge of Urdu or Arabic is often preferred or required, depending on institutional policies.
Age Limit:
Applicants must be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December of the admission year. There is currently no upper age limit for BUMS admissions; however, candidates should verify with the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) or BYMS admission office for any recent changes.
Language Proficiency:
Proficiency in English is required, as it is commonly used as the medium of instruction in the BUMS program at BYMS. Knowledge of Urdu is also essential for understanding classical Unani texts. Non-native English speakers may be required to demonstrate language proficiency as per institutional guidelines.
